Happy New Year

Well, I’m off and running. I left Ft Lauderdale New Years eve around 7:00 pm aboard the Sea Princess. This is the first of five cruises aboard the Sea Princess. This cruise I will be going to Princess Cays, Bahamas, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Barbados St. Vincent, Port of Spain, Bonaire and Curacao.

Last night we had a formal dinner and New Years Eve celebrations around the ship. Here’s to a Happy New Year for all my friends and family. Today was a great beach day at Princess Cays. The weather was perfect and the water crystal clear. This is Princess’s private beach. It is a great little place with nice facilities. I was even able to do a little shopping. I really needed another tank top to add to the few hundred I already have at home.

The Sea Princess is a pretty ship and they maintain it well. My cabin is nice, well laid out and comfortable. I slept great! I really haven’t explored the whole ship yet but with 70 days….there is still time. I do love the mega screen out at the pool area where movies, videos or television can be played. I must try a movie some evening out on the decks. The food so far is a little disappointing but it’s early yet. After so many months of food aboard Celebrity ships (which is great) a little disappointment is inevitable. They just delivered a bottle of champagne from the Captain and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries…things are looking up. If only they could send diet coke instead…oh well.

Tomorrow is a day at sea. I hope we have great weather…that’s what us professional tanners live for… Until next time, have a great day.
