St Vincent

Today we arrived early in St Vincent. St Vincent is a beautiful, lush, green island worthy of exploring. Joseph and I hooked up with two of our tablemates from Scotland, Muriel and Rankin and decided to arrange a tour. We hooked up with a guy named Moke who helped us design the tour we wanted to take for the day. We decided to go all over. We first went to Villa beach looking out at Young Island then headed north with out first stop at Fort Charlotte. Next stop…The Botanical Gardens, beautiful! We had a nice escorted visit with an interesting character that was pretty knowledgeable. Then we headed up the coast seeing Questelles Bay , Buccament Bay and Layou Bay with their black sand beaches and fishing villages. We then went to Barroullie and Wallilabou Bay where they did a lot of filming for Pirates of the Caribbean. I included a nice coffin shot from there. Then we headed up to Chateaubelair Bay and over to Dark View Falls. Then it was back to Kingstown with one last stop to see the Anglican and Catholic Cathedrals. The Catholic one was over 200 years old….very nice. Great company, great sights and great weather…great day!
