Monday, another washout...

Another disappointing day for ballooning....lots of rain! Got up at 0330 and new immediately ballooning could be a problem because of the rain showers. Since the actual balloon field is about 35 minutes away we checked with Eric, the pilot and decided that today wasn't the day. Went back to sleep....They did in fact cancel all balloon events for the day. All was not lost though...sun came out and I got in some great, high altitude, bronzing. Got some cool pictures of a Roadrunner...difficult to do, very fast movers. Also, a big hawk came down near where I was sitting to get a drink from a puddle, very cool. Should I name the Roadrunner Randy? I'll give it some thought.
