Roatan, Honduras.....

One of my favorite places! A good part of this island is fairly primitive but it is advancing rapidly….tourism will continue to expand…this place is just too good not to…I go to west bay (not to be confused with west end) which has the nicest beach and fabulous snorkeling. The reef is right there just off the beach…tremendous. I failed to keep my head dry but…the snorkeling was just amazing. I found out today that this place has been declared a duty free zone so that’s another boost to tourism. Lots of condos going up here. About 4000 Americans live here year round and that number climbs to 10,000 when the snowbirds arrive. Great day……Tomorrow, Cozumel…maybe Paradise Beach Club, decided I ought to give the snorkeling a break and take care of my head.
