Sailing to the Mexican Riviera

The day of embarkation in San Diego turned out to be a long one. I arrived at the port around 11:30 am planning on boarding quickly. This wasn’t to be…the Mercury had a lot of people getting sick on the last two cruises with apparently the Norwalk virus. Before any boarding could take place they were sanitizing the entire ship. Finally around 3:00 we were able to board. I didn’t receive my luggage until 7:30 which was a bit of a pain. Dinner was nice and came with a bit of a surprise…new menus. Couldn’t believe it! So much for having all the Celebrity menus memorized. After a long day it was nice to be onboard and ready for the next voyage. There are a number of old friends aboard from the Horizon…makes it like old home week..
