Day at sea...

I had a lovely day at sea as we inched closer to the Amazon. The day was sunny…perhaps the last in a while. Late in the afternoon, right after I packed up we had a torrential downpour. I think it was just the Amazon’s way of saying welcome to the rainforest. After dinner this evening I went out on deck and verified that indeed we are getting close to entering the Amazon….the water looks like chocolate milk. Tomorrow morning around 5:30 am we cross the equator and enter the Amazon later in the day. I doubt if tomorrow's weather will be to my liking.
