Starting the next cruise

Off and running on the second of my five Princess cruises. The first day was at Sea and the weather continued to be great after overcoming a little morning chill. The second day was scheduled to be in Princess Cay just like the last cruise. No luck this time around…high seas made it too dangerous to tender ashore so we passed it up. It was really too bad because it really is a nice spot for a day at the beach and a BBQ. The day turned out to be really good, lots of sun. Have you noticed a theme? The following day was another sea day which was once again very nice. Today we finally made landfall. We arrived in Tortola, BVI early this morning. After the early morning cloud cover cleared, I decided to pack up my beach stuff, including the snorkeling gear, and go over to Cane Garden Bay. A nice spot over the mountains for swimming and bronzing. Went off the ship and found that the taxi drivers wouldn’t take me there because of rough seas. I turned around and went back on the ship. Had a great day lounging by the pool. Around noon the Celebrity Zenith anchored in the harbor. It brought some fond memories since I spent the month of January last year on the Zenith. Tomorrow we are off to Antigua. I’m not sure at this point whether or not I’ll go to the beach. In December I was there and the beaches had experienced a little erosion from all the hurricane activity over the past year.
