Ready for another adventure...

I ready to get on with my next adventure and get my mind off sad things. I've been in a bit of a funk lately and hopefully a trip up the Amazon will be just the ticket to help me breakout of it. I'll be boarding the Prinsendam tomorrow in Ft Lauderdale. I arrived in Ft Lauderdale today, greeted by lovely weather. I did find time to sit around the pool and absorb a lot of sun. Here are a few facts about the Prinsendam...Ship's Registry: The Netherlands; Passenger capacity: 793; Crew members: 443; Gross tonnage: 38,000 grt.; Length: 669 feet; Beam 106 feet; Maximum speed: 22 knots. As you can see it is a bit smaller (by a lot) than most cruiseships out there. Our itinerary is:

This looks like a great cruise and it couldn't come at a better time for me with everything that has been happening lately. I just wish my sister Lisa could have a getaway like this. She really deserves it after all her dedication to my Dad and doing everthing humanly possible to make his last days, weeks, months and years the best they could be. The one thing my father knew beyond a shadow of a doubt was that she loved him and she could always be counted on to be there when he needed someone. I thank her from the bottom of my heart. Now it's time to get on with my next adventure...check back soon...
