Back to Barbados

Last night the Captain came on to discuss our departure from Martinique and our trip to Barbados. He said the weather didn’t look good at all for Barbados. Early this morning it didn’t look good…but by about 8:00 it started looking pretty good so I went once again to the Boatyard…a great place to go for a day at the beach. The weather turned out pretty good. There was the occasional shower but it was soooo hot that it felt pretty good. All in all it turned out to be a pretty good day. I met a couple from Richmond and discussed what has been going on in Virginia while I’ve been gone. Apparently the winter has been pretty mild. Maybe my utilities won’t be outrageous for an empty house. Tomorrow I think we go to Grenada, embarrassed to say that is a guess…talk about being clueless. Oh well, it really doesn’t matter anyway does it? I hope we start getting away from the rain showers even though they haven’t been intolerable at this point. Lots of new Brits boarding today. It’s a bit disruptive having masses of people disembark and embark in the middle of a cruise. Hope tomorrow is a bright, sunshiny day….
