A whale of a day....

This morning we arrived at the beautiful island of Dominica. The day got off to a slow start with showers on and off. My whale watching was scheduled for 9:30 and I almost decided not to go. That would have been a very bad decision! The skies cleared and we went out on our Catamaran searching for Sperm whales. We had a fantastic day...lots of sun and whales. We found at least 10 whales and it was tremendous. These babies are huge. I’ve included a couple of shots…I probably took 100. So what started out as a potentially crappy day turned out to be great. Tomorrow, we are off to Martinique….very French. They aren’t always nice to us visitors….a bit arrogant. We’ll see how it goes. I think I’ll take the water taxi to the beach…what a surprise!
